We offer flat fee shipping on most items to around 66% of the Australian population ie: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide Metro areas. Metro areas are defined by the carriers. If we can possibly service other areas at the flat fee we will do so but furniture is generally bulky and can be expensive to move. Flat fee delivery is not applicable to commercial quantity orders. For all other areas we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know a freight price. If you agree we will send an invoice for the freight.(flat packed furniture only).
Refunds are only offered for damaged on arrival products, we do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind e.g. wrong colour, style or size. Refunds will be issued through the same method that you used to pay for your item. Please note that if a refund is issued through paypal please be aware that there are paypal fees that apply and will be charged to customers accordingly. It is the customer's responsibility to pay freight on all products returned as well as freight for the swapped product to be delivered to your chosen address.
No assembly services are not available.
As a rule of thumb, standard dining tables are around 75cm high. Look for chairs with a seat height of 45cm to 48cm to allow comfortable legroom (about 25-30cm between the seat and the underside of the table). Allow roughly 60cm of width per chair to avoid crowding your guests.
Domestic or Residential furniture is designed for minor, predictable use. The Butts on Seats commercial range features heavier duty construction, including thicker structural tubing, reinforced stress points, and high-rub-count fabrics (tested a minimum 50,000+ Martindale cycles) to ensure structural integrity under high use.
Absolutely. For qualified commercial projects and bulk orders, we offer comprehensive customization options. We can source custom powder-coat colorways, coordinate custom upholstery fabrics to match your brand's palette, or alter structural heights for custom bar counters.
The main difference is the seat height. Standard kitchen islands sit at about 90cm high, requiring a counter stool with a seat height of 60cm to 68cm. True bar stools are taller, with a seat height of 75cm to 80cm, made to match commercial bars or raised surfaces that are 100cm to 105cm high. Always measure from the floor to the underside of your bench before buying.
To prevent your guests from bumping elbows, you should allow roughly 60cm to 65cm of width per stool. For example, a 2-meter-long kitchen island can comfortably accommodate 3 standard-sized kitchen stools with plenty of breathing room
For optimal legroom and comfort, aim for a clearance gap of 25cm to 30cm between the top of the stool seat and the underside of your kitchen benchtop.

Generally, no. Standard residential kitchen islands are roughly 90cm high and require a shorter 65cm counter stool. A 75cm stool is specifically designed for taller surfaces—like commercial bars, pub tables, or high architectural ledges—that sit between 100cm and 109cm high.
You should always maintain a functional gap of 25cm to 30cm between the top of the stool's seat cushion and the underside of your bar top. For a 75cm stool, your bar surface should ideally be at least 100cm to 105cm high to ensure your guests have plenty of comfortable legroom.
When sitting at an elevated bar height, a person's feet cannot comfortably reach the floor. A structurally sound, integrated footrest or foot ring is absolutely essential to relieve pressure on the thighs, support proper posture, and make mounting the stool significantly safer.
Yes. Our chairs come standard with universal, smooth-rolling nylon castors that perform excellently across both commercial low-pile carpets and hard floors. For delicate, high-gloss timber flooring, we recommend polyeurathane wheels or placing a protective chair mat underneath to ensure friction-free movement.
